What Is HETU
Building Blocks of Hetu
Intersubjective Consensus with Proof of Causality Work
Security is the cornerstone of distributed systems.
Traditional blockchain systems provide single, fixed security, depending heavily on consensus requirements (Proof of Work/ Proof of Stake) and economic incentives. It leads to slower operations, and poor scalability.
Hetu offers a different take: flexible security. We provide tailored protection depending on the type of transaction or event.
Causality-Based Finality
Finality is the point when a transaction or an event is considered permanent, irreversible, and confirmed in a distributed system. Traditional blockchain systems rely on sequential block addition, needing multiple block confirmation before reaching finality. It is slow and cumbersome.
Hetu takes a new approach: causality-based finality. It instantly finalizes transactions or events based on their causal relationships, eliminating the need for multiple confirmations.

Building Blocks of Hetu
Intersubjective Consensus with Proof of Causality Work
Hetu introduces intersubjective consensus, a new way for communities to make fair decisions on subjective issues like data value, model quality, or rewards. Powered by Proof of Causality Work (POCW), Hetu uses a causality graph to map out how every contribution influences the final result. It measures:
Consensus Strength: How much trust an action has earned within the system.
Connectivity Strength: How much impact an action has on others.
This ensures collaboration is fair, transparent, and rewarding for everyone.

Why Is HETU Different?
We Are Rooted in Research
Hetu protocol is based on our research of Chrono in the last three years, which leverages the novel logic clock and zero-knowledge in a distributed system. Our team includes researchers and web3-native folks who spend their days thinking about the philosophical issues of blockchain and AI.
